The Model 4-500 is a fully integrated orbital tube weld head with an available component support and position tooling plate.

The Model 4-500 is designed for high-production bench welding of tubing, fittings, valves and other small component assemblies. It is ideally suited for sub-assembly of components for semiconductor, aerospace, biopharmaceutical and other industries requiring high-integrity, high-purity welded assemblies.
Features:

All stainless steel, ball-bearing gear-drive
Ceramic heat shields protect housing from heat and allow high duty cycle operation
Water-cooled base unit, tooling and rotor facilitates high duty-cycles and increases weld head longevity
A torque-limited clutch protects the drive-train from damage

The Model 9E series weld heads are designed for fusion (TIG) welding of tube or thin-wall pipe through the range of 0.25” (6,3 mm) to 6.625” (168,3 mm) OD.

The Model 9E series weld heads are available in five sizes to weld components that do not provide enough stick-out for a double-clamp set up. An off-set electrode, single-sided clamp and gas seal make the Model 9E series weld heads adaptable to a wide variety of applications, e.g. pipe fitting and short sanitary ferrules. Clamp inserts and gas seals are available for all standard sizes as well as for custom applications.

To further enhance flexibility, most Model 9E series weld heads can be adapted to alternate configurations with an available conversion kit.

The Model 9 series of orbital weld heads are designed for fusion (TIG) welding of tube, pipe, fittings or other cylindrical components. Available in eight sizes and three versions, they accommodate diameters from 3/32” (2,3 mm) to 7.5” (190,5 mm) OD, and wall thicknesses from 0.01” (0,25 mm) to 0.16” (4 mm).Each weld head fits a wide range of tube sizes via easily replaced, size-specific clamps. The standard Model 9 incorporates a two-sided clamping mechanism to hold components being welded in line and concentric – eliminating the need for tack welding. Several of these heads incorporate a flip-up viewing window, for easy verification of fit-up. Most Model 9 weld heads are plumbed for water cooling of both the cables and internal weld head components – allowing increased duty-cycles.

The Model 8 series weld heads are orbital weld heads for fusion (GTAW) welding of fittings, tubing and thin wall pipe. The narrow width of these heads makes it ideal for limited clearance applications, such as welding fitting to fitting or fitting to valve body assemblies. Welds materials such as stainless steel, titanium, Hastelloy™ and other autogenously weldable alloys.

A key feature of the Model 8 series weld heads is its unique cooling design, allowing high duty-cycle welding. When connected to an AMI cooling unit, all components of this weld head are liquid-cooled, including cables, clamp housings and electrode rotor.

A variety of clamps are available to perfectly suit every welding application. For fitting-to-fitting or tube-to-fitting welds the standard (narrow) clamps require the least amount of stick-out.

The Model 207 is a 100/150 A programmable GTAW power supply. It is designed to work with all AMI’s orbital fusion weld heads and is capable of welding tubing and thin wall pipe.

The internal memory of the machine stores up to 100 different welding schedules for quick access. High-integrity, sanitary welds are easily reproduced at the touch of a button. The welds produced by the Model 207 meet or exceed the specifications required by diverse industries such as: semiconductor, food/dairy/beverage, pharmaceutical, aerospace, and nuclear.
